Pride in Canadian Reactions to Ottawa Shooting

 

 

Let's face it. Despite, the fact that we're technically at war, no one expected the Ottawa shooting to happen. I mean common this is Canada for crying out loud! We're the friendliest people on the planet. Who would ever want to harm us? Fortunately, we managed to avoid massive panic by staying calm and analyzing the situation from every point of view possible. However, some people saw one recently converted Muslim extremist shoot at the Canadian Parliament and drew the conclusion that EVERY  Muslim must be this way. But they're wrong. Just because one apple rots in a bushel of apples doesn't mean all the apples are rotten. Just because one drop in the ocean is polluted, doesn't mean the entire ocean is polluted. Just because one person doesn't like the pic you posted on Instagram, doesn't mean you were exceptionally ugly in that picture...and just because one crazy Muslim dude decides to go shooting at the Canadian government doesn't mean all Muslims have grenades hidden in their pockets. As Canadians, we should be proud that most of us are aware of this and aren't afraid to correct those who discriminate and jump to conclusions. Our multiculturalism isn't about to change because of one crazy dude.
